Internet/Intranet Application Servers: Many businesses today are looking for
fast, cost-effective methods to publish
applications or provide access to
LAN-based resources to staff and clients
situated in disparate regions or even
running disparate systems within the
same location. This
can either be a very simple task taking
no more than a week or two to configure, or a very
complex task that takes months.
The solution that we offer
provides a flexible uncomplicated system
providing businesses with many benefits.
For example, it can run
on either a Microsoft Windows, Linux or
UNIX platform, but does not specifically require a server
version of the operating system to run.
Another important benefit is that
because all of the processing takes
place centrally, only the platform from
which our system runs requires high-end
hardware specifications - all of the
client systems can be low-spec PC's, and
remote performance is not dependant upon
line speed to the client PC - it will
work very satisfactorily in a dial-up
environment.
Importantly, the solution that we
provide, Go-Global from Graphon, has
been designed from the ground up to
provide a platform that is fast,
reliable, secure and easy to implement
and maintain.
Thus,
Go-Global offers excellent
value to our clients through
significantly lowered Total Cost
of Ownership which in turn provides for
significantly improved Return on
Investment times.
T-Systems SA (Pty) Ltd was our first
Go-Global client in South Africa.
Below is their observation regarding
Go-Global:
"It’s been a while since we
implemented Go-Global. The main reason
for doing so was
that we needed an alternative to our
existing systems to accommodate our
business' growth. Go-Global gave us
this alternative at a reasonable
price and with the added benefit that
it’s extremely fast and uses low
bandwidth. We also evaluated
other solutions
before Go-Global, but they were expensive and
used too much bandwidth." Arthur Botha, Manager: ITO - OSY,
T-Systems SA (Pty) Ltd

Internet/Intranet
Solutions: The internet
has become a vital conduit for
businesses today for many reasons:
hosting, communications, application
sharing, and email to name a few.
To address the varied requirements of
our client based, we launched our ISP
division, ITSolv ISP, in 2003.
Since then we have provided numerous
solutions to our customers covering
internet access solutions, email,
hosting, SEO, and website and
application design.
“My interaction with
Amoeba started with trying to find a
domain host after my previous service
provider defunct. Everybody would
build a website but nobody wanted to
host a domain. I went from pillar
to post until given Amoeba’s number, and
my problems became their problems.
Amoeba undertook to handle the
negotiations, the transfer and verbally
talked me through the connection phase.
That was over a year ago and the
relationship has become one of
friendship as opposed to a service
provider. Other service providers of any
service can take a leaf out of Amoeba’s
book to improve their client
satisfaction.”
Arthur Muller, Marketing Executive

medium sized businesses as well as
corporate's. For further

Network
Solutions:
Many business processes
revolve around networks, and the more
efficient the network in terms of
security, performance, and reliability,
the better those processes run. We
provide expertise to our customers in
all aspects of network solutions from
identifying the correct systems to
implement through to managing the
installation process using
internationally recognised project
management standards (PMBOK) as
published by the Project Management
Institute (PMI).
One of our projects included a network
upgrade for a multi-national corporate.
Details of the project included
migrating servers to a new OS,
implementation of a data centre,
centralising all network switches to the
data centre, integration of the regional
head office into their global network,
and rollout of an exchange program to
bring all workstations up to an
internationally required level. We
undertook to manage the project from
start to finish. Due to the nature
of the project, the time required for
completion was three months, during
which time disruption to the client's
normal operations were minimised to
non-working hours only.
The comment from the client upon the
conclusion of the project was that it
was a job well-done.
